I have been following baseball since the early ’90s. Born in 1985, I have lived in San Diego County my entire life and have rooted for the Padres as long as I have been a fan of baseball.
I created this blog in the hopes of off-setting some of the idiocy of both local and national news outlets as well as the negativity of some of my fellow Padre fans. I previously wrote for Friar Faithful, Beyond the Boxscore and Padres Nation. I am also a frequent commenter at Ducksnorts and Gaslamp Ball.
Thank you for taking the time to read Intentional Blog on Balls and go Padres!

richardbrianwade,
Saw your question to Paul DePodesta about slots in the draft. Paul recently spoke to the SD chapter of the Society of American Baseball Research, and I asked a similar question on the same topic. Not to plug my own blog, but I reported his response here:

The pertinent question is in italics about halfway down the post; Paul’s answer immediately follows.
Cheers, Mike
